Captain Ben Paschal of Laguna Madre Outfitters will be here giving a presentation about the waters he guides on the Texas coast. Ben is based out of Arroyo City which is centrally located on the clear and shallow flats of the Lower Laguna Madre (south of Port Mansfield/north of South Padre). He rents a waterfront home to his customers, which allows a streamlined 2-3 person fishing program for fly fishers from around the country. The primary species Ben targets are redfish and trophy seatrout. Following the presentation Ben will demonstrate tying some of his favorite fly patterns.
With a guiding career that began at the age of nineteen, Capt. Ben Paschal has guided fly fishermen around the world in Colorado, Alaska, Argentine Tierra Del Fuego, Chilean Patagonia, Southern Louisiana, and Texas’ Lower Laguna Madre. Ben currently splits his time between Texas’ Lower Laguna Madre and South Louisiana.
