Monday Morning Roadie

| September 14, 2020

Good morning Texas Fly Casters! By the time you read this, I may be half across Texas, and headed southward toward a rematch with Port O Texas. You may recall I suffered a TKO in the first round of this past June’s trip to the bustling fishing village of Port O’Connor, and limped home after a trip to the Palacios ER.

This time, I am loaded for the rematch with a huge first-aid kit, what you expected a secret fly? And enough gear to rough it out in all weather conditions. Looking at the radar on Sunday night, makes the rain gear seem like a good idea … within limits of course.

So you will have to cut me a little slacker line, as I take a much needed break from the North Texas hubbub, and self isolate with nature and maybe a few specks and reds of the Texas Gulf Coast. I bet you’ll understand. So for the time being, you may want to head to or click on my Instagram feed (texasflycaster), and with luck and a little skill thrown in, maybe just maybe you will see some images from the salt.I almost always come up with some touristy stuff on that long road – that makes it worth the follow. I will be working hard to bring it all to you

Thanks for reading, and as that political clock winds down? I was reminded of this verse today while listening to an alt country Texas radio station; Remember the greatest of all is LOVE – Corinthians 1 13:13.
