2014 TU Mid-South Regional Meeting

Beavers Bend State Park, Okla.

Join fellow anglers and TU volunteer leaders from across the Mid-South for the 2014 regional meeting at Beavers Bend State Park near Broken Bow, Oklahoma on March 1.

Who should attend? Anyone committed to building effective TU chapters and councils.

What will you learn? Opportunities abound to develop your governance skills and practices, discover solutions to your leadership challenges, and increase your understanding of the key trends and coldwater conservation issues impacting the Mid-South region. TU regional meetings are occasions to be inspired — by the work of TU staff, lessons from leaders and conversations with newfound friends.

Thursday, February 27
-Travel to Beavers Bend State Park
-Evening, optional fishing

Friday, February 28
-Hosted Fishing, 7am (Hosted by 89ers Chapter)
-Dinner at 6pm – Pizza and Beverages around the campfire

Saturday, March 1
-8am–4pm TU Mid-South Regional Meeting at Beavers Bend Cabin Office Forest Heritage Center and Museum
-Breakfast–Sponsored by Oklahoma Chapter TU
-Lunch–Sponsored by the 89er Chapter TU
-Dinner at 6pm – Abendingo’s Grill & Patio, 259 N Stephens Gap Rd., Broken Bow, OK

Sunday, March 2
-Check out, travel home

Lodging/Travel Details:

The Mid-South Meeting will be held at the Beavers Bend Cabin Office Forest Heritage Center and Museum.

Beaver’s Bend State Park is located off of highway 259, eight miles North of Broken Bow Oklahoma. From highway 259, turn east on highway 259 A, follow road for 3 (very twisty) miles to Beavers Bend cabin office located within the Forest Heritage Center and Museum.

There are 14 Rooms (in multiple cabin configurations) for Thursday 27 Feb thru Sat 1 Mar (3 nights) – Tell them you’re with the 89er Chapter of Trout Unlimited to get the group rate. For other available hotels and cabins in the area, please visit the Mid-South Regional Meeting event page.

Registration and Cost:

The meeting is $15 and open to all TU members.
