Hurricane Ike – Photographic Post Script

| October 20, 2008

I noticed Ex-President Clinton and Former President Bush were on the beach in Galveston last week.

They were in an area I did not have the time to get to, but it appeared to suffer heavy, heavy loss. Here are some more images from that foray.

This person has the right idea. I believe it floats. Whatever the case, it’s still standing … sitting … whatever.

Debris along the road waiting for pick up.

The piles grow and grow, dwarfing the machinery doing the piling. Perhaps they will leave it and build on top.

It’s actually been really hard but, surprise surprise i’ve gotten loads more done with my life without the distraction. Plus working 30+ hours a week and school doesn’t leave me too much time to be wasting on who updated their interests on their profile.

No Facebook! How can you survive? shannon

It kind of sucks because they were talking about this celebrity on the radio today that had a home in galveston, and they said that his home survived intact. But he has all the money in the world to re-build. Why did his house stand, and so many other middle and lower income families homes get devastated? Just doesn’t make sense to me.

    ps. I deleted my facebook.
