Texas Fly Reports Closing Down in 24 Hours
Just a quick note to let you know that Texas Fly Reports, a discussion board I created a year-and-a-half ago, is ceasing operation in 24 hours. If you have participated there, I appreciate it. Unfortunately, throughout the internet, it is being realized that discussion boards have run their course as a means of sharing information. Perhaps everyone now knows everything? I think it’s safe to say discussion boards are becoming part of the history of the internet. An interim step could be participation on facebook, but if you’re like so many there – lurking remains endemic.
My experience with that format of discussion was that there were fewer and fewer participants, and heavy lurking followed by full out attacks on the site by Russia and China.
