Half-past-four and we’re shifting gears here in North Texas. We slipped the fall gear, and shifted right into winter 2023.

The author, a fishing enthusiast from North Texas, clarifies his definition of “carp season.” For him, it occurs when most of his preferred spots have carp, rather than the presence of a few carp. While typically starting in late April in North Texas and ending in September, he notes that it now extends into October.
