Fly Fishing the Lower Mountain Fork / Presenter: Chris Johnson
The Lower Mountain Fork River near Broken Bow, Oklahoma, is one of our favorite “weekend” destinations. It is just under 6 hours from Round Rock, and boasts a healthy population of both brown and rainbow trout. Right now, is one of our favorite times to fish the LMFR and the trout regularly look up for hoppers! Chris is a licensed guide in Oklahoma and Living Waters offers multiple day guided trips and also assists during fly fishing clubs outings to the LMFR. This trout fishery is one of our very favorites, and although it’s a few hours away, it is well worth the drive! Chris will show you how to plan your trip to the Lower Mountain Fork River – whether a Do-It-Yourself trip or a club outing, he will cover it all!
Topics will include:
River access and knowledge
Rigs and flies
Trout tactics
Regulations
Year-round patterns and strategies
Lodging
