I hope you are primed and ready for your vacation weekend starting tomorrow, and I HOPE going all the way through to next week. For me, as I must have said many times before? Bittersweet goes with July 4th. So much time spent growing up in bursts – on the Island – those who were there and are here no longer. Sand dunes for miles. Surf fishing alone at daybreak. Sunburns. Family fights and love all around it.

Here is your original inside look at Los Pescadores Coffee & Outfitters on South Padre Island, Texas. I don’t know what their future holds, but I am pretty satisfied with my part in the startup back on my home water.

Anything can happen on this skinny island on the Tip of Texas. Anything. I have witnessed many things there, hurricanes satellites and comets and rocket launches to name a few. Maybe someday a hurricane will finally uncover that treasure I was looking for, but only if I AM THE ONE who finds it!
