South Padre Island With DOA Lures

In my effort to learn more about the conventional side, I took a little ride … down to the Borderlands and home waters of the Lower Laguna Madre this week.

It’s early morning Friday, after two solid days fishing and learning how to fish conventional with the backing of DOA Lures and guiding by Captain Roel Villanueva of Mercedes, Texas.

I will expand on the adventure later, but you can imagine it to be an eye-opener for someone like myself, and the discussions among all these guys reminded me – we are all addicts, and that old saying, “The tug is the drug” is equally true for all tribes – fly and conventional.
