Kicking it Up Another Notch – Subscribers Get Instant FISH FLASH NOTICES to PHONE

| March 11, 2016

“There will be days when the fishing is better than one’s most optimistic forecast, and others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying at home.” – Roderick Haig-Brown, “Fisherman’s Spring”

Thanks goes out to those loyal paid subscribers who’ve been calling in to book outings based on that hybrid video I shot the other day –

It made me think about how fleeting that type of fly fishing action can be, and how important instant information can be to those who can actually take advantage of this information age – beyond a day-old story here on Texas Fly Caster. it seems these days, some of this happens in the blink of this old man’s eye. That video was shot on Monday, published on Tuesday, I went back out on Wednesday … and ‘Poof they was gone,” as I paraphrase the old HeeHaw song.

So here’s what we’re going to do. I have already extended the subscriptions for last year’s subscribers through the first half of this year (let me know if the machine did that correctly), in order to make up for six months of cancer crapola – lost forever. AND I am going to create an additional service that includes those subscribers PLUS any new subscribes in March.

It is going to be a “FISH FLASH” text message that alerts you to “FISH FLASHES” via phone, and contains all the details you need to take advantage of these fish – at a moment’s notice. I will have to have your phone number. I will not share it, or use it in any other way than described above. It’s not required of subscribers, but dang! what a way to get information out in a hurry! You will also be able to respond, if you choose, to book me to guide you to one of these FISH FLASHES – right then and there.

I sincerely appreciate your continued subscriptions, and will not disappoint new subscribers either! I have no future plans for illnesses of any sort, but do have plans for fish of all sorts. If you are one of my guide clients, you will automatically be added to the text service.

Just when you thought you couldn’t get any more plugged in to the Texas Fly Fishing scene!
