Yeah, I am not nearly as tech savvy as I think I am. Even though my family thinks I know what I am doing, I can prove them wrong every so often …
That is MY story when it comes to these “YouTube Live Streams” that I have been dying and trying to make for many months now. Somehow this “live stream” option for MAC comes with a lot of heavy lifting on the backend (hidden parts) of the process that as best I can tell, takes multiple software options to encode and decode and feed the audio/video from a MAC to YouTube, and therefore YOU! That is; several options running all together all at once. And that just is not happening here … yet.
So for today’s video, I dropped back, and did a rare dropkick on third down and twenty-five. Below is your LAKE FORK Fly Fishing Report based on a phone interview I did last week with Guide Alex Guthrie who makes Lake Fork his Fish Camp. THE WEEK AHEAD!
I was away in HTown for the weekend, and watching the radar for our beloved DFW and North Central Texas, Sunday, just in time to see another brief rain pounding event cross over that area … once again. The rules, aka. the patterns, my friends? The patterns for North Texas have changed and continue to create an image, a NEW PATTERN of change in weather PATTERNS for North Texas. It is what it is, until it isn’t. Am I right? No, really! Am I right?
Capital I capital F, that is IF I am correct in last week’s prediction, the weather is going to settle into a normal pattern this week … but do I have any confidence in that forecast? Oh, hell no. Imagine taking it all one day at a time. That makes planning anything, laying bricks, running riprap, practicing balance exercises, recording videos … it makes all that a, “Wake up in the morning and see what happens,” existence. Maybe I am not young enough to appreciate that kind of randomness anymore? I will spend more time trying to roll back the clock for all OUR benefits! How does that sound?
IF I can get things reeling the right direction, then I WILL BE ROLLING down, nay, UP the road to some other waters – BIG CALM – this week. Why disclose anything though, when all that will do is jinx the “plan?”

I hope all you Dads, DNA attached, and non DNA attached, had a fantastic Father’s Day 2025! If you read my post last week, you know what a mixed bag these “Day” events can be for myself … It is what it is. And this weekend was no different, if even a bit more unsettling than usual.
