Article on Ikigai

Ikigai is the Japanese word that roughly translates into: To live the realization of what one hopes for. Quite a concept for fly fishers, isn’t it? We live in a sport of hope, ecst and agony — at times all one, and none of the other. Great fly fishing days are actually out of balance, while good days are more in line with the grand scheme I think the fish gods have in mind.

My SO passed this article along to me, and I think those of you who enjoy reading will like this too – World Economic Forum Article on Japanese Ikigai.

Have a great Wednesday! I am planning the usual, but unusually timed Texas Fly Fishing Report to come out Friday – God willing, and the creek don’t rise!
