Sand Bass Blitzes aka. SBB’s

Anybody Seen One of These Lately?

Shoulda coulda woulda is what I will testify to when it comes to the excuses for the mighty sand bass population that roams, OR ROAMED, Lake Ray Roberts! When the hardcore conventional fishermen walk up to a fly guy at the boat ramp and ask, “What’s going on …” with the sand bass on Ray Roberts? I know it isn’t just me that wonders where those Big Beautiful Blitzes went!

In years past, more than two years ago now, conventional guys would marvel at the number and size of Ray Roberts blitzing sand bass, and the largemouth guys would complain about how they take food away from their LMB population. They are quiet now. A “hard” largemouth lake seems to be turning into a “hard” sand bass lake at this date.

I hope against hope (watch the video) that this kicks in later, and it isn’t another year like last year. BUT, only time will tell if that is the case.

Thanks for reading and watching and have a fantastic weekend!
