Jack of All Gigs

How about a look at ONE of the gigs that I do to keep the 293K miles driven Toyota on the road? It keeps flies in the vise as well.

We had a slow, and I do mean S L O W show here at Fish Camp North yesterday, and if you were to come by there is still plenty of yard art to buy right out of the front yard – in the Denton inner City Hillcrest neighborhood. What can I say? Things are definitely changing around here.

SETTLING THIS WEEK

Things on the water should be starting to settle after another round of rain expected later today, Sunday May 25, but this round doesn’t have the gully washer predictions of previous May storms. And North Central Texas is due a break in that pattern for sure. What is worth noticing is that the Gulf of MEXICO temperatures are a fraction of a click warmer than they would “normally” already be at this time of year.

That temperature variant could trigger a slightly earlier start to the core of the Summer 2025 inshore season, and nobody is complaining about that. But, but, but there’s still the wind, and I hear it has yet to let up – in places like my much loved Lower Laguna Madre.

While bringing you the inside into what I do, I hope it is worth your time to slow down and watch something completely different on the otherwise FISHY YouTube Channel. My coast is clear starting THIS week, and for the foreseeable Summer of ’25. What could possibly go wrong with that bold prediction?! You know the deal.

All watercraft are gassed, clean and waiting right now. Once we clear the Memorial Day mayhem, that road goes on … until the next speed bump. I don’t know about you, but I am still looking for those gas prices to drop …
