Fish Between The Raindrops

| July 10, 2010

North Texas saw a series of storm waves pass through this afternoon, with brief heavy showers and scattered sunlight. It seemed like the perfect setup for a nearby pond, so I managed to find a place to park (the road was closed) and hump it through some fields and over the dam. The weather dudes say patterns will gradually be getting back to normal this week.

My expectations were low since I was 0 for 2 on the last two outings, but I didn’t have to wait for long before the Double Bunny made a fool out of a seven pound catfish. I had always heard there were big cats there, but this was my first encounter with one, and after about ten minutes I had this one purring – with some whacky video to show for it.

There were a couple of LMB’s thrown in for good measure, with the Bunny doing the honors again.
