Now What?

Your Guide to Assembling Your New Fly Rod

Merry Christmas! You have your new fly rod kit, and it looks like an antenna from an alien space craft got broke down into little pieces for you to put together again, right? At least Santa didn’t take a detour, open up YOUR package and wet a line along the way! How tempting that must have been for the big guy. I mean he’s already got an inner tube around his rear. That jolly guy is ready to go, and now YOU WILL be too!

NEXT ON THE STARTING BLOCKS?

In my season of rollbacks to the needs for beginners starting the fly fishing journey, next up is wading boot selection, and a couple of tips on how to decide what boots are right for you. It’s not a small decision folks! Then I will take some time to do another video on waders, and things to consider, not brands, but things to consider when you are in the market for waders.

If you have noticed, I am trying to put as MUCH AS POSSIBLE in front of doing any casting videos as I can think of to do … because casting is a can of real worms I do not like opening – if we are not working in person.

Also on the way will be a downloadable music countdown for 2024! I have been burning the late night (after midnight) oil on that one – to the point I burst a blood vessel in my eye and it looks like I took a thumb from Tyson. There is some very good music, but only a few artists have made good “albums” or CD’s – – – – meaning a complete assembly of good tunes. If you have any musical suggestions, now is the time. I generally miss a lot of music every year in the last ten years, because there is SO MUCH GREAT MUSIC being made in the USA now!
