Fly Tying at Sportman’s Finest in Austin Tomorrow
With more than 9,400 views, I still find the interest in fly tying videos, as Spock would say, “fascinating.” Here is the Coyote Carp Fly, again, from a 2009 video.
I will be demonstrating how to tie the Coyote Carp Fly tomorrow at Sportsman’s Finest in Austin, Texas, tomorrow evening. If you are unfamiliar with flats fishing for carp, tying flies for carp or just maybe need something to do – be sure to make your way over to Sportsman’s Finest and sit in on their weekly fly tying.
Apparently, Greg Welander at Sportsman’s Finest, has a good thing going every Tuesday evening at Sportsman’s Finest located at 12434 Bee Cave Road, one-half block off 71. I met Greg at Trout Unlimited’s Troutfest this year, and he said they have between 20 and 30 fly tiers every Tuesday at Sportman’s Finest – every Tuesday! That is truly amazing.
