This one goes back, way back to August 2008, and my attempt to document the tying of the famous “Coyote Carp Fly.” This fly has caught a ton of carp, a number of big bass and an assortment of other species in the last sixteen years. It holds true. Evolution hit this fly species last year though! I started using different color coyote, and the hunger level grew even more in carp who had a proper introduction to it.

It would be interesting to see, and FEEL, what this fly could do to trout, don’t you think? Maybe I can come up with a Blue River color this season, and see how it rolls.
