To SeaDek Or Not To SeaDek?

That Is the Question

A lot less thought went into my choice of SeaDek for my skiff cap. That had a lot to do with the original surface which was a blobby coating that had zero texture to it, and looked just right for applying the SeaDek to … and it has been.

There are upsides and downsides to SeaDek, but for me in this video, I go through the upsides that sealed the deal a few years ago, and my feet have been happy ever since.

The downsides? Well top of the list is expense, and a close second is cleaning, but the reality is cleaning SeaDek is not as hard as you thought. AND depending on your skiff build? it can be just as reasonable is some of the proprietary non-slip coatings you can have applied out of the factories. In fact, it can be more affordable, and LESS SLIPPERY than those coatings. ASK ME HOW I KNOW THIS!
