Switching Gears and Skipping IFA Grand Isle – Look Out Corpus Christi

| August 22, 2011

OK, I am sorry to disappoint those of you wishing to see me struggle, sweat, be bit by rabid swamp mosquitoes, chased by gators, hungry, tired, and generally DIY a trip to Grand Isle, Louisiana. I am slow to recover from the first journey to Louisiana, just back yesterday afternoon.

There is another IFA Tour stop, this one in Corpus Christi in a little less than two weeks, and I know Corpus Christi, and let me just tell you, Grand Isle is no Corpus Christi. Save Grand Isle for the winter bulls we must. It’s time to go Texas again – Texas Salt that is.

So fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. I had tied bocu’ flies for Louisiana, so I have no choice but to throw them in Corpus Christi. Shifting gears like this means I need information on what’s happening in Corpus, and will store the Grand Isle information for another season – a zero pressure winter week – THIS winter.

Posts on IFTD are in the wings, so hang tight. Feel free to harass me for the squishy fortitude when it comes to Grand Isle, especially if you were planning on going with me.
