Carp Fly Patterns That Work

This video was requested by a fly fishing friend who wants a great pattern for catching carp in less than clear waters. Of all the carp fly patterns I tie, this one is the easiest, and hint hint – it slays sunfish and bass as well. All have fallen victim to this fly.

  1. Brian says:

Hi shannon – that is a very effective carp fly. Similar to the Montana hybrid tied by John montana. You can tie with dumbell eyes, peacock chenille, and a few turns of partridge for hackle. One of my biggest carp in colorado was taken on the Montana hybrid.

    Thanks for video!
