Regrouping on a Friday Night

fly fishing texas and life

Hey everybody. I certainly appreciate all the kind words about the situation we find ourselves in with our Anna. I know, an eleven year old golden retriever is already in the bonus round, but is it any easier? Nope.

She’s doing a heck of a job of giving us time to say what we want to say, and think about a lot of things.

I really don’t know about the “protocol” for fly fishing websites, what is in-bounds what is out-of-bounds. I guess I would like to believe that this site’s readership is dynamic enough to withstand a curve in the road, go dormant, live off its seven years of residual stories (1196 posts) for a few days, and give a minute or two to try and get a grip on things. Maybe, if you’re a regular, you can backtrack into music, movies and all that other stuff that loosely comprises “Fly Fishing Culture on the Skids.” If you are new, keep digging.

For those of you who are fresh arrivals, your timing sucks. I am sorry about that, but luckily you aren’t missing much. The wheels do keep turning though, and events are coming up fast and furious. So, stay tuned, and understand that I am on the “bubble” with our sweet Anna, and that if I disappear it’s for a very good reason.

As long as this weekend gives me the chance, I am going to try and catch you up with the things going on related to fly fishing in Texas in March of 2014!

I apologize if this is “too much information.” I am a huge, HUGE detractor of Facebook for this very reason; people think that’s where they should share their own lives and deaths (literally for some of my “friends”), and I’d rather exchange a private email or phone call. I have tried to keep mostly clear of Facebook, but so many of my family get info there that I had to post something. I guess I am “Old School.”

A LITTLE MORE –

LAST – Thank you God, for never giving us more than we can bear.

Another day of light comes in. Leslie sits with Anna in the hallway. It’s all good.
