Monday Morning Goodbye to Dusty

| August 2, 2021

Good Monday Morning folks! We have an overcast Monday to greet us here in North Texas, and that means one thing – HIT IT! So this will be short and sweet …

We said our goodbyes to Dusty Hill, one-third of ZZ Top, late last week. No cause of death is yet released, but this will be the decade we say goodbye to many, many legendary musicians, as a simple mathematical fact. That doesn’t make it any easier though, and I am one of those Texas turds who loves sound in his skiff, so don’t be surprised if you hear ZZ playing from faraway, and in high rotation. After all, I did name my skiff “KoKo,” after the fantastic ZZ song “Ko Ko Blue.” Check out that beat! Fare the well Dusty Hill.

Enough for now. Check out the third part of the series on “New Sports of Fly Fishing,” tomorrow, when we finish the observations on this NextGen and what the outlook is for the growing legion of “Anti-Sports” starting to register on the radar and airwaves, and those who have been “Anti-Sports” for quite awhile … yeah, I was a little slow to this wave, but I’m in the pipe now.

Go fishing if you can! I am looking for some relaxing fly fishing the next few days, and that is what I am settling for – nothing more, nothing less. But listen God! I am not making plans!
