Live From the Water

| June 1, 2010

I took advantage of the stormy weather around Denton today, and hit North Lakes Park pond (south pond). I had a feeling that the weather could trigger some feeding activity, and was not disappointed.
It was a battle with the wind, and I had to lay low, or at least not be the high point as lightning was off in the distance. The rewards were far between, but managed this three pound largemouth and another that probably went about 2.5 pounds just as darkness took over. Had I not knotted my fly line at the loop, I could have fished more, but without light it was pointless.

This concludes a test of posting from the water.

Caught these on a rattle-eyed clouser made by Orvis. I am still looking for those rattle eyes to make them myself. http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=63LX&dir_id=1236&group_id=15816&cat_id=10897&subcat_id=10898
