fly fishing texas drought #flyfishing

“It ain’t over til it’s over.” – Yogi Berra

Dang! Who let the hot out? Temperatures are soaring to record highs here in North Texas, and for those of you who thought the drought was over – THINK AGAIN! I warned early on that this could be a repeat of the 1950’s drought that had two distinct flooding events that broke up the drought, but didn’t end it … way back in the early days of global warming (yeah right), and now, if I may roll out a cliche, HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.

For those of you keeping track at home, I have been off the radar of late, and as of this coming Wednesday, they tell me to tell you to go ahead and turn the radar off. You won’t be finding me for a little while.

However, I am always glad to glean information from the interweb, and I was surprised when this video below popped up. Seems mergers and acquisitions are in the air at kayak builders and related manufacturers. This one’s for our flotilla of kayak fly fishers, who still have the vim and vigor to paddle miles, fish and paddle more miles.

And since it is cooler on the water, that’s where you want to go. Access, my friends, is still the “issue” (I say problem). Always, know before you go, and feel free to ask me, or where to find that information (ask me that too).
