March 11 Show Features Los Pescadores in DFW

One week from tomorrow, March 11, 2023, you can visit with all the guys from Coffee & Caddis as well as the lone ranger – me – representing the big brother brick & mortar company Los Pescadores Coffee & Outfitters South Padre Island, Texas. I’m not a fan of talking about myself, so if you want to hear about how easy we can make it for you to get to South Padre Island and fly fish the vast Lower Laguna Madre? Be sure to stop in and find out! I have recommendations and resources for all the services you will need for your visit, and I will be glad to talk to you about what services Los Pescadores has on the Island as well. This is your chance to get a taste of clear, clean salt without a passport and without the unpredictable nature of South Florida.

Coffee & Caddis

Coffee & Caddis has a tent adjoining the Los Pescadres tent, and is highly focused on the coffee of Coffee & Caddis. I had my share at last year’s TRWD FlyFest, and it was certainly a factor that has motivated me since then! I start every morning with my very own stash of Los Pescadores coffee, carefully ground and well brewed – here in my fish camp on South Padre Island. Everybody wants some – as David Lee Roth once sang. See — more about the TRWD Fly Fest!

Los Pescadores Fort Worth Visit

This is a chance to visit with myself and others about the South Padre Island Outfitters opening this Summer on the Island! We will have well-known company Rep and North Texas River Guide Greg Welander in our booth, and it’s a chance for you to get your hands on the Thomas & Thomas fly rod which is the rod of choice for Lower Laguna Madre Guide Captain Ben Paschal. Guess what? They are damn good rods, and you’ll find a Sextant on board with me in the Summer of ’23. We have a very few of the Sextant and Zone fly rods available for purchase – IN THE BOOTH on March 11.

There will also be a chance to take some information (limited supplies) about what YOUR FAMILY can do on South Padre Island, Texas, while you are doing what YOU want to do! It is worth repeating: South Padre Island is the most fly fisher family friendly location on the entire Texas Gulf Coast. I will take on all challengers in this statement. How often can you go to a Texas Gulf Coast for a week, and your family is entertained for a week or more – without your supervision? And a week? That won’t allow them to get to all there is to do on South Padre Island. I guarantee it.

Along with fly rods from Thomas & Thomas, we will have a sling of TFO saltwater rods to try and buy. I am also having a huge sale on Los Pescadores branded performance clothing, and the remaining hats! If you want sun coverage that is cool enough for the tropics, and North Texas? Check out the Los Pescadores booth.

Noses Up!

So once you hit the grounds at the same TRWD FlyFest location? Have a sniff around. Follow your nose to the Coffee & Caddis and neighboring Los Pescadores CO South Padre Island booths. You’ll be glad you did!

END NOTE: This event is under new management this year. There is a parking fee. Be prepared to pay to park. For me, given the choice? I am ready to walk a lot further than pay for parking for this event! Be sure to reach out via text or call – 940-three80-o4o8 and especially Los Pescadores Direct 956-596-0558. It may not be a photogenic location, and the fish are in a barrel, but this event is your only chance to talk in person to the Los Pescadores crew (M,M&I) about the newest and only fly fishing outfitter on South Padre Island, Texas.

What a great turnout in the Los Pescadores booth 2023! Hardly worth the price of sponsorship, but LPCO benefitted greatly from the buzz I put out here and there. Hard to believe salt tastes as good in Fort Worth on the banks of the Trinity River, BUT IT DID!
