Just when you thought it was safe to start warmwater spring fishing in Texas, our friends at TPWD have a few more stocker trout up their sleeves.

Winter is winding down, and the Trout Stocking program has some fish left over, so we’ve scheduled new late-season stocking dates at these locations:

Feb. 23 – McGovern Lake (Hermann Park), Houston
Feb. 23 – Monahans Perch Pond
Feb. 23 – Pena Colorado, Marathon
Feb. 23 – Jasper City Park Pond
Feb. 29 – Blanco State Park (also stocking Feb. 23)
March 1 – Waterloo Park Pond, Denison
March 2 – Canyon Tailrace (Guadalupe River)
March 2 – Lewisville Tailrace
March 5 – Possum Kingdom Tailrace
