Have a listen. Remember you can listen to this on the road as well. I am working behind the scenes to make more audio available for download as easily as possible.
Richard Davis is a fishing buddy of mine, and happens to be a well known and successful sculptor who lives on Lake Kiowa, Texas. He knows how good he’s got it, and I have been fishing with him about a year on “his” lake. If you haven’t been to Lake Kiowa, it’s a gated community lake north of Lake Ray Roberts, and produces lunker largemouth, spectacular crappie and is home to legendary grass carp. I’ve done pretty well with the first two, and maybe I’ll have a shot at the grassies if this drought continues, and the creek don’t rise.
This is a video that is part of the content for Richard’s site www.richarddavissculpture.com, and although you may think it’s not about fishing, it is. Richard’s current vein of sculpture was tapped on a fishing trip to Cabo, and as you will hear, he’s influenced by many things water related. Part two, later this week, will delve directly into what took him in this direction, and how he translates what he sees in fish, water and nature, into stainless steel.
I have had some friendly reminders that age old podcasts were nothing more than broken links. So, in an effort to bring more information to the masses, with no further technical ado, having educated myself in file handling, these entries are now fully functioning:
Gosh, I hope you will take an ear back and listen to how young I sounded! Maybe the podcasting has gotten way too serious? Either way, tune in next week for a podcast from the LLELA that should break that serious streak for awhile. I am reminded of the Cure’s “Doing the Unstuck,” Come on get happy.”
I am headed to South Texas next week, so things could get even more interesting as I visit Grandma (90 and driving herself to the airport to pick me up!), and possibly participate in a Fishing’s Future event while there. Yes, I will sneak out for a couple of evenings of throwing at Tarpon on the end of the jetties … since you insist!
