Bluegill Print
The bluegill. I have embarked on photographing the smaller size fish in different species, and this bluegill is the first to make print. The reason I photograph smaller fish is that they seem to be more pristine than their elders, with more perfect features and less grotesqueness than oversize fish ... kind of like people.
I print these myself on archival paper using archival ink, and all prints smaller than 16x20 are on oversize paper. The paper is a toothy paper that has the feeling of watercolor paper while retaining the sharpness of a photograph.
