Texas Fly Caster Guide Services – I think I have a unique approach to fly fishing in North Texas. I do walk in trips to the flats of Lake Ray Roberts, and Lewisville Lake if water levels permit. As the person who keeps Texas Fly Caster running, I also hit hot spots as they come up – guerilla style. You would want to book me on a moment’s notice for things like palmetto bass in the Trinity River, or adventures to smaller, less populated lakes and ponds – all over Texas.

When flats fishing, I target largemouth bass on fly rod for half-days – early or late, and if you are tough enough to do a full day of walking / wading, we can sandwich some carp in the middle of the day just for grins. Fill out the contact form for more details. Starting in 2012, I also do half and full days guiding for carp on fly rod at Ray Roberts. Typically, a half day for an average conditioned fly fisher targeting carp is plenty, and plenty of exercise!

Hybrid action like this can last only a few days, but it’s some of the most exciting fly fishing you can find in North Texas.

If you are interested in chasing Texas Parks and Wildlife Department water body records, we can do that as well – on Lake Ray Roberts, or just about any freshwater destination that is walkable or wadable. It’s fun to go after fish with a specific goal in mind, and the TPWD records add an interesting twist to your thinking when you’re out there actually in pursuit.

Not only will we have a unique fly fishing adventure, I also combine what I know best, photography, with our day on the water. I will be carrying a camera the entire time, and photographing much like when I shoot for magazines and other publications, and you will receive an e mail within a few days to give you access to a gallery with my photographs of you.
