Home Turf. South Padre is where all the deviance started for me – surfing, fishing and … stuff. Connecting back now to the last and first. I think of a guy I talked to as he was walking up from the Navajo Quality Waters on the San Juan, with complete seriousness and reverence, “When I die, spread my ashes here.” It’s early, but when I die maybe my ashes should wash away from here. Maybe.

I finally got this put together just before departure for Austin (Colorado River) and on to The Rio Grande Valley (South Padre Island). Maybe another podcast will result from this trip?
